I believe an educator's greatest accomplishment is convincing a child of his or her ability to be great. Educators have a responsibility to reach each child and make a connection that will facilitate intrinsic motivation for future instruction.

As a child of poverty, an English language learner, honor roll student, and the son of a single mother, I believe God has a plan for everyone. Everything I do is to serve Him, my family, and my community.

I have spent my career forging strong partnerships and finding community-based solutions to the problems educators face. I feel there are answers to many of the problems facing schools today somewhere in the community.
